3 Mafia Gentlemen/Ladies vs 10 Town Gentlemen/Ladies, Open setup. OOh -- Keyen ... I could have sworn there was something that said there were 2 mafia gentlemen and 1 mafia lady -- did I imagine that? Because that throws things off a bit for me. |

But if Emily is the last to choose, and has 2 guys wanting to dance with her, she has the power to make one of the guys die...and if he's scum, then he's out of the game. In that situation, it would be best to keep the towniest one. That is a really good point. Either way, there's a lot of pressure on the poor Emzer. I just wanted a date and I was afraid I'd be dateless. Yeah, I think that is usually how the gentlemen start the game. They have an immediate incentive to find a partner, or risk being whackinated. Nothing wrong with that. The ladies can and should take their time, although chances are good that any ladies who don't wait will be just fine. Any of you ladies who decide early that you trust your dance partner shouldn't be too worried. Reading the other game threads is pretty interesting as there seems to be a lot of debate about the best strategies. I think it might be beneficial for us to have the same types of discussions. |

Very interesting. I won't discuss any views on the picking a partner situation for obvious reasons.
I mean,I havent decided anything yet because im in my bed about to out my phome down to sleep but when I do read over and think more about it I will try refrain from expressong my opinions just to make sure no trickery is happening.
Anyway, lala & rosey and kitty & zinnia, i hope you have a very lovely time as dance partners! It looks so romantic already.

Whatever Emily decides, I just thought I would reiterate to her that she should be one of the last ladies to choose and she should know what options she has. I got a little worried that she might accept the first to flatter her before she had time to take a look at everyone on the dance floor. Choose wisely in this masked ball, Em. Make sure your scumdar is working well and then hide it in your skirts.

I just read Skelda's Masquerade -- it's funny how it is clear for an outsider to see who scum was in that game (Lissa & Renee were kind of obvious), but I know from experience how hard it is when you are unknowing and playing. If I had played, I know I wouldn't have picked up on it, lol.

Yeah, Skelda had a hard time getting everyone going in that game. I am kind of sensing that is going to happen here, too, because most of us are just so unfamiliar with it. It looks like one of the first delays that time was Emily, so at least we've got her attention in this game now.  |

And after he got it going, it just stopped so abruptly with the suicide. It's kind of a funny read in retrospect, but let's not do that here, folks. I don't get why Hermi did that when she knew that Emily was town and admitted that she was convinced of it. It was just frustration then?
I am enjoying reading the Midsummer Night's Revelry game that Keyen played (or tried to play until he was whackinated immediately, lol), but it was a much, much longer game.
