I've also done things aside from pointless setup spec. If you hadn't then you'd have been whacked hours before I came in. Not a valid argument.

I am pretty sure I did it as Town before regardless, and it's not intended to be scummy. It is a thing that I do, I am just being super brazen and cheeky about it, partly to make a point and partly because I find it amusing to do so. And I recall you being scum in said 'policy whack' game. The first half of this is self-reading, which I hate. The second half gets you townpoints because I can relate, but minor scumpoints because you can't relate to what you've just stated based on every mafia game ever.

I'm about as innocent as a bloodied axe. Since an axe cannot be sentient and murder on its own accord, it is innocent. The individual wielding it is probably guilty, but I am not. Therefore I am as innocent as a bloodied axe.

Also, we should be putting targets/any other role info in our wills. Though we shouldn't be overly trusting of results, because multiple roles can screw with them. And I know the other times we had games where discards weren't specifically revealed, we claimed them, but I don't think that's a good idea. That time in Renee's game it seemed pretty pro-scum to me. Scum can easily lie and if someone claims a powerful discard it can be telling to scum. It had more value in Lala's game because people got offered three roles vs. two, but here there were two roles offered. I'm scummy for explaining why I didn't vote for Alleeb day one? Then explained my uneasiness with her post? That's just effing bs, and you know it. And why can't we say our discards? Is it because you don't want mafia to know what isn't in the game for sure? I hardly doubt that matters. You see, mafia can just claim their discard. It would be nice if people discarded mafia and told us so we know what mafia roles are NOT in the game. I suppose it would be nice to know if godfather/framer are not in the game, but we wouldn't really, because scum can lie. And if mafia discarded another scum role, they can't claim their discard, same if they discarded vt and want to claim a pr. I don't see what the benefit of claiming discards right off the bat would be. I don't know if you count all of this as setup spec. Setup talk, wharves. But I wouldn't call any of it pointless. Yes, I said a few things that are kind of useless. Why does that make me scum? I say obvious Carbonara sometimes as a side effect of basically thinking out loud inthread.

I actually wanted to be town this game, I'd kind of missed it I hate this kind of argument. Why not 'is meta the best you can do?' or something along the lines of a logical refute? I don't like self-reading, as mentioned before. It's a near-universal scummy action.

1: fair enough. 2: useless. 3: don't care either way. 4: nyeh, mmh, fine, sort of.

Nota Bene: Scummy does not necessarily equal scum. A scummy action is not necessarily something scum would do sometimes, but rather something that makes one appear to be a VI or scum. Many actions that scum do could be rather town-like by nature.

you can always vote for me... That is what you guys like to do... I haven't played with you for quite some time so I may be off with this read, but this post looks vaguely townish. I feel like town-Alleen has said this before.

If Mafia claims their discard and claims to have thrown away their role, that likely won't always be convincing. The few posts before this led up to this conclusion which was basically beating a dead horse with a stick. It isn't to the degree of post-spamming the same deal but it's not great.

Final post: a) I'll re-iterate that I discarded werewolf in case you, dear reader, missed it earlier. b) I'm as innocent as a bloodied axe. c) Bumbo, I had a good point to put here and I forgot it. Gee willikers . d) Oh, I've remembered now... e) If anyone votes for me then the stunning Margaery Tyrell in my avatar should demonstrate the amount of tosses I give about that vote. f) Or how much of a toss I give about the game in general.

It is amazing to me how the conclusion to Hermy's clearly intelligent thoughts is always "vote randomly". And you are right, being scummy does not equate being scum, so we should all just whack the towniest players in this game. That makes sense to me.
Vote: Hermy for being obvious Town.

She's really good at being spectacularly wrong. But at least it is a spectacle.
Hermy is being about as self-aware as a bloodied axe right now.
