Guys, we played this game many years ago but it was fun! Because it's a 1 night, I guess we can do it this weekend if we can get enough players. 9-12 players. Otherwise next weekend.
I'm going to copy and paste it from Nadine's game.
One Night Ultimate Werewolf
This game is a bit similar to mafia but is also different, so make sure you read properly and ask questions if you are confused. This is what will happen once I have sent you your role card in a PM. I am using the rules from the booklet so it talks about cards which are your roles, but I'm not going to change the wording otherwise it gets confusing.
NIGHT:
Several roles do a night action at night, those players will send me the name(s) of who they are using their action on. Players with a Villager or Hunter card will never do anything at night, so those players do not send me anything. You can look at the roles section to see what your role does.
DAY:
After the Night phase, you will discuss among yourselves who you think the werewolves are. You can say anything but you cannot show anyone your role PM. Werewolves may want to claim a different role so that they don't die.
Because certain roles change other players' cards, some players will believe they are one role, when they are actually a different one. After the night phase, your role is the card that is currently in front of you, which may be different than your original role. (So this is after all the swapping, if we did this in real life you'd start with a card in front of you, you'd have night, it could have been swapped, then you'd have day, and the card that is now in front of you is what you are now) I am struggling to explain this bit so if you are confused I can try again.
You will have 24 hours to discuss once day starts. I want everyone to have a vote in before the end time, so please remember that so we don't have to wait and so I don't have to go looking for you. This time, you send your votes to me. The player with the most votes dies and I will tell you what their role is. There is a possibility that there are no werewolves as those cards could be in the center, so to win, players will each have to have one vote, so you vote in a circle.
GAME END:
After one night and one day...
The Village team wins:
If at least one Werewolf dies. Even if one or more players who are not Werewolves die in addition to a Werewolf dying, everyone on the Village team wins.
If no one is a Werewolf and no one dies. This is possible if all Werewolf cards are in the center.
The Werewolf team only wins if at least one player is a Werewolf and no Werewolves are killed.
The roles in the center are going to be labeled (1, 2, 3), so if you need to do something with them, say which one.
Roles:
2 Werewolves
1 Minion
1 Seer
1 Robber
1 Troublemaker
3 Villagers
The order in which roles go at night are:
Werewolves
Minion
Seer
Robber
Troublemaker
This will become important because of the swapping that happens.
ROLES DESCRIPTIONS:
Doppelganger (1)
The Doppelganger becomes the role and team of the card she looks at. At Night, she looks at another player's card but does not swap it. She is now the role of that card and does it's Night action if it has one.
Werewolf (2)
Werewolves will be told who their buddy is if they have one. If they do not have one, they other Werewolf card is in the center. They are allowed to pick a card in the center to look at to help them with fake claims if there is only one Werewolf.
Minion (1)
The Minion will be told who the Werewolves are. The Werewolves do not know who the Minion is. If the Minion dies and no Werewolves die, the Werewolves and Minion win. If there are no Werewolves, the Minion wins as long as one other player (not the Minion) dies. The Minion is on the Werewolf team.
Seer (1)
The Seer may look at either one other player's card or two cards in the center. The Seer is on the Village team.
Robber (1)
The Robber may choose to rob a card from another player and place his Robber card where the other card was. (So he swaps his card with another player's card) The Robber will be told what his new card is. The Player who receives the Robber card is on the Village team. The Robber is on the team of the card he takes, but he does not do the night action of his new role. If the Robber chooses not to rob another player, he remains the Robber and is on the Village team. (This is boring, please rob people)
Troublemaker (1)
The Troublemaker may switch the cards of two other players but she will not be told what the roles of those players were. The players who receive a different card are now the role and team of their new card, even though they don't know what the role is. The Troublemaker is on the Village team.
Insomniac (1)
The Insomniac will be told what her card is to see if it has changed. The Insomniac is on the Village team at the start. If her card changed, she is on the team of her new role.
Villager (3)
The Villager has no special abilities but he is definitely not a Werewolf. The Villager is on the Village team.
Hunter (1)
If the Hunter dies, the player he is voting for dies as well. The Hunter is on the Village team.
Tanner (1)
The Tanner hates his job so much he wants to die. The Tanner only wins if he dies. If the Tanner dies and a werewolf also dies, the Village team wins too. The Tanner is considered a member of the village (but is not on their team), so if the Tanner dies when all the werewolves are in the center, the village team loses. The Tanner is not on the werewolf or village team.
