EDT is four hours behind GMT. So if the game starts at Kitty time 2pm (which is an hour ahead of EDT), it'll be 1pm in US East coast. And I thought Kitty was back in England -- she's in Uruguay again? World Traveler! Jealous much! Uraguay is Atlantic Time Zone? It has a name. There's Central European & Eastern European -- is the other just Greenwich? Those seem easier to comprehend than all these +2s and -4s |

I'm Dutch. My entire country lies in one time zone. And most of the surrounding countries share the same zone. But if I'd meet someone from, for example, India.. I'd have to resort to estimation. If that Indian person said 'I'm from GMT+4,5', I immediately can do the math. 'I'm in IST' would leave my clueless.
GMT+n or -n has a clear number in it's name, that's the clearest you can get and makes it the most convenient to calculate, since you don't have to google how much the name relates to GMT.
But hey, we have that universal countdown. Problem solved.

"Mario, come quick!" Toad gasps. "It's Princess Peach...She...He...Bowser...Kidnap..." Toad passes out before finishing his sentence. "Bowser has kidnapped the Princess again!" Toadette squeals with fear. "Ohhhh noooo!" Mario says as he places his head in his hands. "We have to save her, again!" Luigi sighs. "Come on guys, we can do this. I'll kick him where it hurts!" says Daisy confidently. Birdo and Yoshi look at one another, they know they have to help Mario save the Princess but it's getting pretty tiring. Suddenly Rosalina bursts into the room "I hear you could use a little help." she says. Mario and his friends set out towards Bowser's castle, they know that it's not going to easy. As they are walking along they all freeze in fear when they catch a glimpse of figure moving towards them at high speed. CRASH! that was the sound of them all falling to the ground as Donkey Kong made his way over to them while rolling on a barrell but loses control and falls right into them. "Oops" he says nervously while scratching his head.
Day 1 has started!
Day will last around 22 hours unless a hammer is reached, so if you don't want such a long day I suggest you hammer. |
