Okay so my constructive criticism:
1.) Based on experiences with this group, I can say with general 97% confidence we all hate alignment switches. Granted there are some places where it does work (Slasher, crazy role games) neither of which yours is. And it only works in slasher bc it is a ONE time thing, and we would know about when it would happen.
2.) This is way to town sided. A doctor and a cop is deadly for the mafia, not impossible and some people do have this set up (this is more of a Katie opinion, I do not like cops at all in games xD But lots of people do so I wouldn't tell you not to do it, but in its current stage it is in fact, town sided). The vig could help balance it out, sure. But the mafia would need something, and yes a godfather would work.
3.) The psychiatrist should just be cut tbh. Or you could do it the way of the legit psychiatrist who heals SK's and a have a SK instead of a vig?
4.) The middle man sounds like a really fun idea, should it be tweaked a bit. Like, I like that they know who the goons are but the goons don't know who each other are. I think that could be really fun. But since it would add an extra level of difficulty to the mafian side, I would cut the cop, or the doc. Also maybe if the big wig dies, another goon gets promoted? And it can be predetermined what order they are all in and the big wig is the one who makes the kills. Maybe the goons could have their only abilities to help them find each other, or help each other.

I think that was all my thoughts. Id be more than happy to try and help form it into a really fun unique set up though. I think it was a good idea, I just.. know how this crowd is... with alignment changes. xD It doesn't usually end well for the host.

Oh wait! Ive an idea, maybe instead of a role that turns others into mafians or townies...
You could maybe make the psychiatrist a Harley Quinn type who when they die (probably safest if NK only,) They don't actually die and get recruited by the mafia.
Thats sort of how the slasher role works actually.

Errm... But I shouldn't really be the one giving the advice here. You can wait for a scumbag for more insightful guidance. Wait.. did you just call me a scumbag?

Ooh, I get a thread! Thank you Kat! I agree with all of this. I like the idea of somebody who if they die becomes mafia. I'm into that.

The reason the alignment switch role doesn't work is because if mafia turns town then they know who mafia is. It breaks the game.
I definitely would add a undecided townie role. To make it interesting though I would make it so the person thinks they are a VT. If mafia hits them they turn into mafia. That way it makes it more fun. And basically everyone is wondering if they are the undecided.

I think the wiki has a name for that. It might be zombie, or some other supernatural entity.

It technically could work though. Skelda made a role that could change people from mafia to townies, he just made it so no one knew who the others were, except for two goons who knew who their "leader" was. The goons couldn't be converted but the leader could. It worked well enough. It was just in a game meant to crazy, not balanced

That's actually already a role. wiki.mafiascum.net/index.php?title=JudasI like that role. There's a Saulus role too that does the opposite. And I don't think my thing worked exactly like you are describing, Katie. I know I had the Old Maid where you were originally Mafia and became Town.
