Deadlines honestly are the most annoying thing to me. I think deadlines should be flexible based on the natural ebb and flow of the game. Sometimes certain days really need to be long. Ideally deadlines accelerate things but don't actually change the outcome. And skipping actions because of missed deadlines massively sucks to do as a host

I dont mind 24 hours days. One hour nights can be a bit disappointing though

Well, Em. It's a little bit late for you to come on here and start acting town. Ugh.

I never edit the content of posts. I think being strict about typos is silly. I don't mind ones where I just type something wrong but when I do mistakes with homophones it really bothers me. I don't even do them that often, but when I do they drive me crazy. I've never edited someone else's post though to fix it! Lala quoted me so quickly. I have that in the rules just because it should be in the rules -- but I would never enforce it other than gently chiding the person who did it. If they did it over and over again, perhaps I'd be firmer about it. But it's nothing serious. It should be in the rules just so people don't take advantage of editing. Perhaps Bill wrote something bad in his post, then edited it out and said, "I was just fixing a typo!" So it should be in the rules to discourage people from doing it, but it should not be punished severely.

I think deadlines should be flexible based on the natural ebb and flow of the game. This!!! However, it requires the mod to be more active and aware, which might be difficult for some busy kids with school and such. Also, it might require the mod to actually read the game and follow it.

Yeah I'm really not a fan of the 1-hour nights. I think nights should just be however long they have to be, I've never had a serious problem with actions not being sent in. Usually I try to make nights last over the actual night.
I think Em's recent posts are actually more suspicious than she was before

I think deadlines are fine within reason. Deadlines ending before they are supposed to does stink though.
If everyone is shouting at me for an extension I usually do give it though, not always. /but sometimes.

Yeah, I'll start at 6pm EST if that's alright with everyone. Days can be... 24 hours, and nights... something. I'm pretty flexible and I know others have opinions on this... She said 24 hours tho It was changed early in the game, though. She was afraid she wouldn't be able to end night in time -- like it would go on an extra long time. She knows we don't like those 24 hour nights here.

Like for me, if the game slows down and nothing is happening, I start imposing deadlines to motivate people. But if the people have it covered and are on top of it you don't really need deadlines. I hate deadline whackes with only one or two votes

So that's when having a co-host at a different time zone can come handy?

I agree 100 percent. But sometimes the host cannot be available, so they try to make due the best they can. This is the primary reason I don't play on the Sims forum. They routinely have 24 hour days and and 24 hour nights. That schedule doesn't work for me.

It wasn't that early in the game, because I didn't have time to see it. Day was supposed to end after I got off work, and by the time I was home, instead it was already day 2! Day and night had ended and I didn't have any clue.
