Oooh -- well, when I host I just go ahead and do the list randomization and whoever signs up first gets the first two, whoever signs up second gets #3 and #4, whoever signs up third gets #5 and #6 -
The only alteration I do is if someone is offered two vanilla townies. Then I skip the second VT and offer them the next choice on the list.
Private Investigator (Gets result "Cult" or "Not Cult")
Mason Lover
Werewolf Roleblocker
Underdog (When the first Day death occurs, adopts the alignment of the dead player. Starts as Survivor)
Seer
Mason Doctor
Vanilla Townie
Mafia Cupid (Targets player Night 1; all OTHER players who targeted same player become Lovers with target)
Watchlisted Townie (Investigates as Serial Killer)
Fruit Vendor (Target someone each night. They will be told that they received fruit)
Vigilante
Serial Killer (Immune to Mafia kills)
Alien Sympathiser (If there are Aliens in the game, you are an Alien goon. If there are no other Aliens, you are a VT.)
Mafia Goon
I just did it, and these were the first 14 options I got, so player 1 would get P.I. and Mason Lover, player two would get werewolf roleblocker and underdog, player 3 would get seer and mason doctor. It sure would be hard to pick if you were player 6 (vigilante and mafia immune SK) bahahahaha.
But you do you, Zinnia! It will be perfect no matter how you do it. I just wanted to share what I did.

I'm really doubting. I love this set-up and I'm so in the mood to play... but i'll have guests on friday and who knows what still comes up for saturday. My life hasn't been very predictable lately. I guess that's a good thing, but it makes planning darned difficult  I'll try and let you know asap  |

Zinnia just a quick suggestion, when you have to pick between roles its sometimes better to randomize the list and send out role choices as you go, and the remove teh choices and randomize again without the two roles for the next person. That way people have time to get on and check so they can choose their role and it helps to get the game started in a timely manner. Then I just save the list with the roles chosen excluded in a word doc so that if someone else joins I can just grab up the edited list with no issues. In this game how and when you randomize doesn't make things less fair or give anyone an advantage. Ofc if you DONT want to do that you DONT have too. It was a just a wee suggestion you do you girl. But my time on here will be limited to late in the afternoon for a small few hours after today until I get off work saturday so it'll be harder for me to pick in a timely fashion. It can make it easier on you in the long run though, but again, dont feel obligated  Or what I do is roll all the roles and take a note of the list up to about 20 players, give or take. However, that does mean the roles aren't a surprise for you as you go through the randomise process, but Katie has a valid point here about people choosing roles. People need time to get on and see their choices and it doesn't always work sending roles out after sign ups close and wanting to start pretty soon after that. From my experience, maybe are terribly indecisive and they'll be like "i'll check back later" but later happens and they don't give you an answer because they got caught up doing something else and you're sitting waiting on just 1 or 2 folk that don't show up xD It's very irritating but it always happens. There are always 1 or 2 at the very least. And I'm not excluding myself from such a situation. I have probably done that too |

Mafia Cupid sounds like a fairly decent mafia role. I mean, night one target someone you think would be popular for the night. Night two kill him, lol. You could get rid of a bunch of players.

And I spent that time... sleeping because I didn't want to have to deal with strangers  I randomized it like Lala said last time, but Katie's way sounds like it would work as well. I thought that 24 hours would be enough time for everyone to choose a role? |

Sorry about the confusion, I don't host that often.  We just get excited to get our roles. I'd turn it in as soon as I could, but there are others who dawdle. |

I’d prefer them today. You can send me and only me mine  so I can choose befkre bed so I dknt have to rush around after work and stuff Bc it’s supposed to be bad the next three days. Like I said I might be around no problem the next three days but I also might not. |
