If survivor, whacker, and jester can win with any faction, why are they even called 3rd party if they can't win with only themselves? If survivor couldn't win with any faction, the only way they could ever win is if mafia won and didn't kill them the final night. If I worked it out correctly, they would never be able to win with town as town would then have to kill the survivor in order to win. So survivor has to be able to win with both otherwise chances of them ever winning are really slim. That's just the reason that makes sense to me for survivor, I'm sure the others have reasons as well. Also, I think when we first started playing with jester years ago we were going to let jester being whacked end the game. But then it made the game short and people wanted to play out the mafia/town win so we let the game carry on after jester was whacked. Something like that if I remember correctly It seems like y'all only imposted the jester and whacker should win with town/scum because "people wanted to play." That's not a very good reason lmfao. |

That's what the wiki says about jester: wiki.mafiascum.net/index.php?title=JesterThe original variant of Jester ended the game when it won (leading to things like BBB's Gambit). However, this almost always ended in short games where the Jester won. Thus, once the Jester is whacked the game usually continues. Jesters who are whacked are considered joint winners alongside whichever main faction wins the game. |

If the majority thinks what should be done, then good, but y'all should know what's right. But this is Ultimate Mafia, not MafiaScum, soooo y'all are free to do things anyways. There is no right or wrong though. Just because they do it differently on mafiascum doesn't mean that that's the right way to do it. And yes, here on UM we have always had joint wins with jester and some other third parties, so this is the way we do it. |

It is if you are playing the game for fun. Mafiascum may be super-serious and treat everything as a life-or-death situation, but this isn't Mafiascum. I'm new, and I'm sure you all play more competitively than me. But if people really wanted to play the Mafiascum way they would probably be playing on Mafiascum... |

I received a message from our moderator last night saying Submarine stayed home last night. Can I ask people if they also received the same? My theories on this are: 1. So you say a survivor can only win if he is the last person alive? How would that be possible? Not according to the wiki as you linked. But Jester and whacker ONLY wins with themselves, not with town or scum. Third Party is an independent faction that has a different wincon to town or scum. Why are they called third parties if they can win with scum and win with town? That is why they are called third parties. Because they can win with both and aren't forced to win with a specific side like townies and mafia are |

We can't be sure if the message is true though. And even if Sub stayed at home last night, she could still be mafia and her partner performed the kill.
