I don't trust her explanation of her discard. Although it was true there was a scum/scum person (Alleen) the chances there are 2 are low (I stated this in an earlier post), I can see Hermione throwing Alleen under a bus and Alleen just giving up. Or she could have changed the roles offered if not enough people chose to be Mafia. That's what usually is supposed to happen. But it feels dirty basing opinions on that, plus I'm almost positive that there are scum hiding in the Town discards. There are so many Town discards and not everyone was offered Town-Town. And I'm saying this as a Town discard myself. I need to so some work, but I'll check in periodically. Something from Skelda. |

What are you trying to imply here? Are you saying that you didn't receive a town/town role? No that's not what I'm saying, I was annoyed by Iceman saying that we should only whack scum discards. I was offered two Town roles. A bit more from Skelda. |

DeKay, that is a long post to quote so I'm just going to comment on the scum/scum connection. The alignments are randomized. There would be an equal chance of someone being offered scum/scum vs. scum/third vs. scum/town. With 5 discards, that means that less than 2 of the discards were offered scum/scum. We found 1. There's a definite chance that others were offered scum/scum, yes, but it's a pretty low chance. THe likelihood that a someone who discarded town (there were 15) was offered town/scum is also 1/3 ... or 5. Does that make sense? Math is not my strong suit, but statistics are that 5 people who discarded town were offered scum ... that's a lot. * * * * Keyen has been erratic, Jake. I understand your suspicion of him. I think he's likely third, but he could be a bad third. * * * * * DeKay, I also connect you and Caro. The point is, the general consensus is that relying on discards is not accurate. The topic has been discussed extensively.
As Katie said, Emily saying there were three mafia and giving three Scum/Scum offers is intensely unlikely. If she forced people to choose scum, she would do it with weighted roles.
