Good evening, glad I had something to read back on.
I'm not sure why it's me specifically being called out on not mentioning third parties, but I'll go with it for now.
I haven't played with many third parties, although I've sometimes played with multiple mafia teams. It dodn't cross my mind. I'd think one mafioso would count as a serial killer and not mafia, and two of those in a nine player game would be pretty chaotic.
Assuming:
9pl day one
whack town
8pl, 6:2 town to scum
2 kills
6pl 4:2 town to scum
At this point the game gets a bit broken.
There is the possibility of whacking scum on Day one, but as people have pointed out, it's not likely.

There are also neutral third parties though. Off the top of my head:
Jester - Quite easy if you play it right, I guess. It depends on how good you are at saying the worst things at the best moments.
Survivor - Blander than your average Kiwi chocolate. It's possible, I guess...
I can't come up with more, so I guess I'll take another look at the list.

With one serial killer and one benign third:
1:1:7
whack town

Kill town
1:1:5
whack town
1:1:4
Kill town 1:1:3
Assuming the third party can side with whoever they please, town's done for. The jester can get so much as one town vote and then get the killer to help get them whacked and the survivor can side with the killer and get town.
In two days.
Of course I'm thinking worst-case scenario when scum isn't whacked, but statistically it can happen. And cops etc. can change everything. Statistics and ratios and all are fun, but I don't want to go on for pages and pages of different outcomes.
And I won't go into 2maf + benign 3p since that's probably not going to be a thing.

Out of the first list, executioner seems like the other simple one. Same difference, they can still side with the mafia.

Good morning, p.
I could see a 2-person mafia team and a third party in the game. I was survivor one time -- and I really liked it as bland as it might be, lol. But worrying about third party at this time is not important, I don't think. If it is a killing third, then hopefully they will be targeting the mafia right now, so it's in our favor.
I am still very concerned that we haven't heard much from Caro, Loppie, and Alleen. Caro & Loppie were both feeling unwell last night so didn't post very much. I was hoping this morning they would have ventured on to the site. Hope you two are feeling better this morning!!!
Alleen hasn't been on at all -- which is unusual. But perhaps she has been busy or the internet is wonky over there--which happens.
I almost hesitated bringing them up because then people will say, "Lala is tying to whack someone who isn't here! She's scum!" But I am not. I am simply brining up my concerns. I would be very, very hesitant to vote against any of those three today.
I would feel more confident in whacking Emily, who is the person I am most suspicious of today. But I am not ready to vote.
Emily is my choice because the other players who have been around seem more townish than she.

Hey guys! I'm feeling much better today  I tried to read back to find anything suspicious but I don't feel like anyone is acting strange. I'm not really expecting to find scum on day 1 though. Quickit seems a bit pushy with his questions and stuff. I kinda miss the old days where we voted like crazy on D1 just for reaction testing. And now everyone is so serious and asking for reasons. But I guess this is pro town gameplay. Anyways, I still think p is town. I don't think her not talking about 3rd parties says anything about her alignment. Of course, I could be wrong since we've never played with her. Lissa and Lala seem townish too. I'm not sure about Skelda. People like to trust him too easily. Quickit plays the same way as he did last game but he already said that he's trying to do so in either alignment. Emily is the only one that is suspected by most people. I don't really understand why. Alleen and Loppie are both null. So you see, I pretty much don't know what to do and who to vote for. |

Oh and Katie said in the beginning that this game might not be balanced but I don't think she would give us three bad guys or two killing factions tbh.

And I'm going to say Quickit is Town for not having a role yet since the scum are obviously talking to each other. I think this is a weird statement even if he just misunderstood quickit's post. |
