The Citizens of Gotham has received another crisis. Three of the local villains in Gotham have teamed up and now are causing chaos. It's up to the citizems of Gotham to arrest them before it's too late.
This mafia is mostly based upon the Batman Arkham series as many of the characters from those games. However, I am gonna disinclude who solely has appeared in Arkham Origins (because I haven't actually played it as I heard bad things about that game) and Arkham Knight (just because that game isn't officially out yet and I would rather have that game be out before I consider characters who solely has appeared in that game such as the Arkham Knight himself to be part of this mafia). Also, due to Batman's No-Killing rule which the Bat Family wants to respect, they "arrest" the Mafia instead of "whacking" them (even though this may not make much sense in the afterlife).
Like most of my Mafia games, this is a closed set-up and there will be a limited reveal (meaning only their allignment/character will be revealed upon death). I was orginially gonna have it be a semi-open set-up due to there being a role that I was concerned about in my orginial plans but I swap it for another role for a more iconic character. The Mafia will be given safe fakeclaim characters by the way.

Rules- 1. All Votes must be bolded and clearly stated in the form of Vote: Jake. Any other votes will be ignored (unless you are on a mobile device). 2. Unvotes must be bolded as well and much be shown as either Unvote: Jake or just Unvote. 3. Once someone has a majority of votes, that person will be arrested soon as an official post shows up. Any unvoting after a majority has been reached will not count so be careful with your votes (even if you have a non-serious vote that counted for the majority). However, gameplay, including by the recently arrested player, may continue after a majority has been reached but before the official post is up. 4. Dead players are allowed talk during the Day but do not influence the game in any way and keep discussion limited. Same goes for lurkers. 5. If I send you anything privately, do not copy and paste it onto the thread or take a screen grab of it and show it on the thread. This includes your role pm. 6. Do not use small, hard to read text, or invisible text. 7. Do not talk in code to other players. 8. Failure to post after 2 full game days will result in being mod-killed. 9. Be nice and courteous to other players. Do not fight. 10. Do not edit the content of posts even if you want to fix a grammar issue (Trust me, nobody will care if you made a typo). All information that you post must be visible to everyone. If you have another thought just post another time. This to prevent information from being hidden from people. 11. Night and Day will last as long as I feel they are needed. We will take into consideration your feelings on the matter by the way. 12. Do not talk about gameplay anywhere except for here unless you are in a chat that is set-up by me where you can talk about gameplay and such. This includes talking gameplay in Skype, E-mail, or PMs that are not set-up by me. 13. You can ONLY claim your role within the first day if one of these things happened- a. You found out who is Mafia through a power role and you want to PR-out that person. b. You are two votes away from getting whacked (Don't claim if you just have one or two votes) c. Somebody claimed a role you have and you want to counterclaim that person. Do NOT claim your role within the first day if one of these things happened- a. You are less than two votes away from getting whacked. b. You decided to do a massclaim. c. Basically, any other reason that is not on reasons you should claim. If you break this rule, then you will be modkilled. Having a No whack will just add an extra day. After the one day is up, you can be able to claim all you want without any restrictions. 14. Enjoy this game.

I'll play.
I have a couple of questions about rules. 1. What constitutes softclaiming? That is pretty subjective. 2. If I am understanding rule 13 correctly, you are automatically roleblocked if you miss your action. What even is the difference between this and simply skipping them, or am I misinterpreting this?

If I am understanding rule 13 correctly, you are automatically roleblocked if you miss your action. What even is the difference between this and simply skipping them, or am I misinterpreting this? 1. What I meant is basically trying to PR-out someone by saying statements that can allude to that fact that you are a power role (such as "Doc, protect me tonight" or "I absolutely know that person is 100% guilty"). I feel as if some people will try to do that when they want somebody to be PR-outed. 2. I remember I've received some complainants in my Zelda Mafia of how I decided to skip over a Mafia kill night action. I don't really want to give a night action to someone to not so in my opinion, this is the best alternative. However, I've realized that randomizing a night action for certain power roles won't affect the game as randomizing night actions for other power roles (such as protecting somebody who wasn't gonna die tonight won't as game-effecting as randomizing a night kill) so I may change that to only certain power roles.

I'm still confused. What is the difference between them being skipped and them being roleblocked? The way I see it, it changes nothing. Either way, the action doesn't happen. If they miss their action, they already know they missed their action. So when they're told they were blocked, they'll know it was because they missed their action.

Okay so Jake, let's say that you randomize a Doctor's action and they land on someone who was dying. Do you say they were roleblocked and only let their action go through if it had no effect on anything? Because you might as well just skip all actions then. I think you should decide ehat you will and won't be skipping before the gamr starts. I would likely skip all actions except Nightkills which I would randomize, but that is just me. Really, skipping and modkilling should be a last resort.
And speaking of modkilling, I hate the claiming policy so much that it honestly makes me not want to play. If I was a Town Cop and I got a Guilty Night One, I would be so peeved if I couldn't claim it. And there is such a fuzzy line there, what are you supposed to do in that scenario? Pretend to have doubts that you don't have? Limits on what people can day are awful.

Yeah, softclaiming is subjective. If I'm like, "I really think Lissa is Mafia. Come on guys. Trust me on this." and I am a Cop with a Guilty on Lissa, would you modkill me? I feel like if I said the exact same thing as Town or as Mafia, there would be no problem.

I remove Rule #13 and I remove the soft-claiming part of Rule #14.
There is other ways to convince people to vote against that person other than claiming. I remember Katie was trying to go after Lissa after she found out that she was Mafia in a previous Mafia game and got her whack without Katie claiming her role. I am gonna try my best to prevent a massclaim from happening (which in my opinion, I think this is probably the balanced non-vanilla mafia game I had so far).
I am gonna edit Rule #14 though to change some ways so that you can claim and I will tell you scenarios where you can't claim.

Rule #15: No one is allowed to tell someone to change their own rules and be a dictator.
