"Where am I? How did I get here? ... and how do I get out?!"
So basically, here's the deal. You awake, and fine yourself locked in a room. You have two keys and you have a plaque telling you where you can find a target, who you want to kill. But, neither of the keys unlock your door. Your two keys are needed by two of the twelve other people. In order to escape your room and kill your target, all of the rooms are connected by a number of chutes. Each day, you will have five pieces of paper you can send to your fellow captives to try and convince them to give you the keys to your room and your target's room, so you can achieve you goals. Setup There are thirteen places in this game. If you are interested, contact me (you can use pm, or mail me to m13vulpecula@gmail.com) and I will let you know. Once to game begins, I will send out emails to all participants letting them know what room (1-13), keys (1-13, 2 of each), and target (1-13) they have. A list of which key each player has will be given to everyone, but convincing the others to get the keys you need. And you will not be told the name of your target, just what room they are in. So, you will have to rely on a combination of trickery, lies, and deception to get the keys you want.

Gameplay
This game is split up into various days. A day ends once all of the players have sent in their messages and anything else they need to do each day, or after 24 hours. A new day begins when I deliver all of the previous day's messages. During each day, there are several actions that you can send me in your daily message inbox.
1. Sending your messages to other players. You can send messages posing as other players, as anonymous, as a player not in the game, anything that you want to do in order to convince others to give you their keys. 2. Sending your keys to other players. In order for any players to escape, you will need to trade keys. But of course, when sending out keys, you need to trust the other players enough to think they will do the same. 3. Unlocking doors in order to escape or murder other players. If you get the key to your door, you can escape into the thirteen-sided shape in between all thirteen of the rooms. Once you are there, you can unlock any door, however, you may only enter rooms that have your target in them. In this case, your target will be killed immediately upon your entry, and you will gain their target. If your target has already escaped their room, you will need to tell me that you want to kill them by name, and if you chose the wrong person, it will backfire and you will die instead. Upon death, you also lose all keys in your possession and give them to your killer. 4. Voting to end the game. The game ends when the majority of players vote to end it or when only two players remain and both of them have escaped from their original rooms. The game may also be mod-ended if necessary on a case-by-case basis.
I will also announce after each day ends who, if anyone, dies. I will not announce who killed them or who has escaped from their room, however.
Message Format
A solid message would look like this To: the player you want to send the message to. Message: whatever you want to tell this player. From: the name you want to sign with. This could be yourself, someone else, anonymous or anything you'd like. Attachments: keys or other things you'd like to send along with the message.
Scores
In the end, scores will be announced after being calculated like this...
Escaping your room +5 Killing your first target +5 Killing each consecutive target +2 Each key in your possession when the game ends +1 Being killed -5 Failing to escape your room -5
In addition, if there is a tie at the end, I will ask them to tell me what each other player's room, keys, and target was, and whoever is the most correct will be announced the winner!

RulesGENERAL 1. No outside communication regarding this game! All messages must be sent through me so I can make sure you are being honest with the 5 message rule. 2. Do your best to stay as active as possible. Depending on the way this game is played it could be over in a matter of days, or drag on for a few weeks. The good news is that you don't need to keep yourself up-to-date 24/7 though. 3. Have fun, chat on the thread, but don't reveal anything to anyone! 4. If you are not a member of the game, do not contact players about the game. I can make you a Spectator if you want and let you receive emails that are each player's inboxes. 5. At the end, all messages sent during this will be made public so people can laugh at the shenanigans that went on. Don't say anything to another player or me through this that you don't want made public! GAMEPLAY 1. You need a Key both for escaping your own room and opening a room from outside to kill your target. 2. Your target is specified as a room number, meaning you start off not knowing which person your target is. 3. Once you use a Key, it's gone. 4. Upon death, all Keys a player owns will go to their killer's hands. 5. If your target has already escaped upon you using your Key to their room, you'll be informed and your task is to guess who exactly your target is to kill them succesfully. 6. If you guess incorrectly, you'll be killed yourself and the person whom you thought to be your target will receive all your belongings. 7. You cannot save up paper for later. If you, for example, only use 3 messages, your supply will be filled to 5 the next day. (perhaps use any remaining messages to make fun jabs at fellow players?) 8. Your messages will be signed with your own name if you don't specify otherwise (to post as anonymous or someone else, clearly use 'From: Fake Sender' in your message). 9. If you reply to a message from a player who has lied about their identity, your reply will go to the player they pretend to be, not the player who has actually sent the message to you. 10. When you're sending items away with your message, please specifically say so in it. 11. Only deaths will be announced, no killers or escapes. 12. You can make up some random non gameplay related items to give away for fun. Feel free to ask questions and criticize these rules. I'm sure I forgot to mention something, so any uncertainty and I will clear it up. :-) The Unlucky Twelve 1. turner 2. twidz 3. TheRoseHorse 4. Zinnia 5. Nadine 6. lovesstorms 7. Lala 8. nicki 9. Skelda 10. alleen 11. bellagorilla 12. rosey1579

Oh wow! I hosted this like 4 years ago, I would highly recommend doing fewer than 13 people, I think I said 9 back in 2013? This game involves a lot of copying and pasting and it is easier with fewer people. The original got abandoned. I'm sure I had more takeaways after hosting it but I don't remember. I just remember it being fun but having flaws. Just be sure not to give keys to people who have reason to trade with each other, I made a mistake with distributing keys where two people had the keys each other needed and it messed it up and gave them a massive advantage.

But 13's such a typical number lol. First copy-rounds may be time-consuming, though it should get easier when heads start rolling. Thanks for the distribution tip. The game's still a month away though, so I got the time to get it all ready and set. And yes, 4 years ago is such a long time actually. Makes you think... Time surely flies.

Time does fly! I think I became active in the Sims site in 2011 or 2012, isn't that crazy?

And I distinctly remember first meeting you when you discovered Turner's Mole.

Fun Fact: The first Mole I saw on the forums.... was yours! So actually the fact I'm here can be blamed on you. That was before I decided to make an account though.

I still want to do this! What about advertising it or even hosting it on the sim forums to get people?

I still want to do this! What about advertising it or even hosting it on the sim forums to get people? Hmm... I could at least try and advertise..... and since the game is fully played through Personal Messages through me, it could technically work crossforumish.

You also could try running it using spoiler tags and just trusting that people wouldn't peek, sending a huge number of PMs is a lot of additional work.

That was what I originally wanted to do but spoiler tags didn't exist on the Sims forums when this was first run.
